Whether you are seeking the path to sobriety for yourself or someone you love, rest assured that:
Here are some comments from some BTG Alums. Share in their experience of addiction’s other side – SUSTAINED RECOVERY. “I would have died. I look back now and think maybe I had a month left in me. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get the gifts that I have today – valuing life & enjoying life. I could not even grasp or understand a life without drugs & alcohol. Now I can’t even imagine going back to that.”
“BTG was like home. The bond that developed among the fellow clients was like that of a family. When you are going through something like this, you need that! They [the staff] give you self respect. They looked to solutions. Treating the “problem,” the “problem” will come back again. Get to the cause. Get to the root. That’s the difference with BTG.”
“My surgical career was in ruins. My marriage was gone. Heroin had taken over my whole life. I tried to get clean …… 33 times. Finally, BTG gave me the tools I needed …. I’ve been in recovery ever since.”
“…the substance was not the disease. The disease was much more….”
“We came here [BTG] because in the end there is no refuge from ourselves. In this place we can each take root and grow, not alone anymore as in death, but alive to ourselves and others….to finally serve a higher purpose.”
"I just wanted to thank BTG and everyone that works there for what they did for me. I got a new lease on life. I am taking advantage of it. Without BTG I would not be here today to send this email. [During the month of] August, I celebrated 9 months clean! I get emotional when I type because that means so much to me. I thank God every day for what He has given me in my new life. I am still in school, the manager for the [recovery] house I live in, have a wonderful sponsor, and have made new recovery friends. I’m so glad to say I am clean and the desire for using has been lifted from me.”
Are you struggling with substance abuse or alcohol? Does your loved one need treatment? Are you ready to embrace sustained recovery? We want to be on your team!
