Treating The Mind for Long-term Recovery from Addiction

At BTG, our integrative treatment programs are designed to simultaneously treat the whole person.  Along with treating the body and the spirit, we also provide education and counseling to address the psychosocial (MIND) components of addiction.

  • Education – Our clients begin their treatment attending both education and living skills classes every day.  Topics covered include the disease concept of addiction, stress management, relapse prevention, nutrition education, and co-dependency.

  • Group Counseling – In a setting of support and caring, our counselors help the clients realize the chronic nature of their disease and give them the tools needed to cope with life without the crutch of drugs or alcohol.

  • Individual Counseling – In one-on-one sessions, the counselor strives to develop a healing relationship with the client based on trust and confidence.  In this safe and protective environment, clients are able to come to terms with the underlying core issues that have contributed to their addiction.

  • Family Counseling Sessions – Because addiction and alcoholism affect not only the client, but also those who are close to him/her, the counselor often invites family members to take part in sessions with the client.  In this protected and caring environment, all parties feel safe to address issues in their relationship.
