PRIMARY CARE

Bridging the Gaps' Primary Care Program provides varied services for adults 19 years and over who have had little or no previous substance abuse treatment.

Our programs include day treatment and intensive outpatient treatment, with the availability of supportive residential housing.

A typical treatment day for Primary Care clients includes: Acu-detox, a form of acupuncture which aids in the healing process, followed by a short period of quiet in which each client is encouraged to meditate and reflect; an educational session, focusing on a variety of topics that include nutrition, brain chemistry and the disease concept of addiction; an interactive group therapy session; and a highly nourishing noon meal, with each client assisting in its preparation.

All Bridging the Gaps clients attend a 12-step meeting each day.

Each BTG client will have a minimum of one individual session with their Addictions Counselor and Nutritionist each week.

Our Primary Care Program ranges from six to eight weeks, with treatment currently offered Monday through Friday.
