Open Letter to Families That Just Checked Their Loved Ones Into Treatment

Dear Family,

You have just checked your loved one into treatment, and are probably wondering the next steps.

You may find yourself asking a lot of questions…  ‘Was this my fault’, or the question ‘will they ever get better’ may be a few of the looming questions that you may have.

Know that in life, we all have many experiences… some good, and some not so good. It is through these experiences that shape our present. Know in front of it all, that there is hope. There is hope for a better future, and there is hope in healing.

You may even feel somewhat nervous or have some feelings of doubts. While this initial phase can be a little scary, know that you are not alone. For your loved one, know that they are in good hands, and are on the way to a healthier life. That is not to say that in any way will this process be easy, but it will surely be life changing.

Our Structure here supports stability and a healthy integration back into the community. Healing is a process. It takes time. But we will be with you every step of the way.

Our program that we utilize with families and their loved one in recovery is Structured Family Recovery. A program that helps families to “make the correct choices and then steadily keeps [them] on course over time”.

This all goes to say that SFR is a supportive opportunity that you may find very helpful for your family.

{“Each new chapter of our lives requests an old part of us to fall and a new part of us to rise” -Jenna Galbut}

This is a new start to a new chapter. A chapter that has yet to be written, and lived out before. A chapter that will be challenging, rewarding, emotional, and renewing. With a supportive community and positive environment, beautiful things can happen.

One day at a time, one step at a time!
