Our continuing care, or outpatient addiction treatment program, provides treatment for those that have engaged in the continuum of care at Bridging the Gaps or another treatment facility. The outpatient recovery program provides accountability, support, and structure for maintaining long-term sobriety. This is the lowest level of care offered at Bridging the Gaps and is meant to provide you with a support system as you transition out of our recovery residences.
Outpatient addiction treatment is an effective form of substance abuse care that allows the patient to receive individualized treatment while still living at home. Unlike residential programs where patients must stay in a facility for a period of time, outpatient addiction treatment enables individuals to attend counseling, therapy, and other forms of recovery programming without having to leave their community.
At Bridging the Gaps, we offer both intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient care programs, as both of these programs provide structured plans to help clients maintain sobriety.
The primary distinction between our IOP and outpatient care is that IOP requires a higher commitment level than our outpatient program. Our outpatient program provides a slightly less intensive approach while still providing structure, accountability, and support throughout your journey. No matter which level of care you choose, we are dedicated to helping you achieve long-term sobriety by providing supportive services tailored to your specific needs.
Our outpatient addiction treatment services are designed to treat a wide range of substance use disorders, from mild to severe. Our experienced team can provide care for individuals who are dependent on alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, cocaine, and other stimulants, hallucinogens, and marijuana. We also offer help for those dealing with polysubstance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues.
At Bridging the Gaps, we focus on relapse prevention in our outpatient program so that our clients can better recognize and avoid potential triggers for substance use. Possible challenges that patients face outside of the facility include:
To create a smooth transition from a residential addiction treatment program to outpatient care, we incorporate a mix of strategies to allow patients to practice newly learned coping skills while receiving support from peers and counselors alike. Benefits of outpatient addiction treatment include:
Outpatient addiction treatment can be an effective choice for individuals who have already detoxed from their drug of choice and are ready to begin the recovery process.
Things to consider when deciding if you are a good candidate for outpatient treatment include:
Yes, in most cases outpatient addiction treatment is covered by insurance. Most major insurance plans offer coverage for outpatient care and Bridging the Gaps is an in-network provider for many of these companies. Please contact us directly to inquire about your specific plan’s coverage and benefits.
The duration of outpatient addiction treatment varies depending on the individual’s needs and goals. Generally speaking, most patients complete their program within three to six months, although some may need more or less time to reach their desired outcomes.
At Bridging the Gaps, we take a holistic approach to addiction treatment. This means that in addition to treating the physical and psychological aspects of addiction, we also help address the underlying social issues associated with it by providing counseling services and individualized support.
At Bridging the Gaps, we are dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction. Our outpatient addiction treatment program provides customized care that is tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. Our team of compassionate professionals will work with you every step of the way.
