Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a psychotherapy approach that focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and changing unwanted behaviors through emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness skills.  DBT targets specific behaviors related to substance use and provides modification to reduce or eliminate these behaviors.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

BTG combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with other evidence-based practices to change negative thought patterns and behaviors. CBT helps clients to challenge distorted thinking, modify destructive behaviors, and relief from symptoms of anxiety and depression through effective coping skills.

Motivational Interviewing

We utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) to collaborate and communicate with clients about their identified reasons for change and individual goals for recovery.   MI focuses on enhancing intrinsic motivation, resolving ambivalence, and helping clients deepen their commitment to change through actively engaging in their treatment process.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is an evidenced, brain-based psychotherapeutic tool that identifies, targets, processes, and releases overwhelming physical and emotional memories. By working through these memories and applying grounding techniques, clients are able to emotionally regulate, lower anxiety, and ultimately reduce cravings for substances.

Discover Our Unique
Treatment Approach

Our treatment approach blends a range of proven modalities, from cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapies to 12-step community based programs. We offer holistic practices such as yoga, meditation, and art therapy to provide a comprehensive path to healing.

Education

Our education program allows clients to learn more about the disease of addiction and develop cognitive and behavioral tools to avoid relapse, mend relationships, establish healthy habits in recovery, and strengthen their support network within the community.

Life Skills Training

We equip clients with practical skills necessary for daily living, healthy relationship building, and fostering independence.  Clients gain confidence in their ability to successfully navigate anxiety, triggers, and cravings to prevent relapse.

Family Involvement & Family Therapy

At BTG we recognize that addiction affects the entire family. We offer collaborative and supportive family services that enhance understanding, strengthen relationships, and encourage collective healing that includes both group and individual support.

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback (EEG biofeedback) provides instant feedback from a computer-based program that assesses a client’s brainwave activity and helps to recognize their thought patterns and implement behavioral change. BTG offers neurofeedback so clients can learn to improve regulation and reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and many other mental health conditions.

Transformation

A Bridge to Transformation

Abstinence from substances and balancing neurochemical deficiencies is the foundation of our philosophy, but that alone is not enough to build a meaningful life in recovery. The design of our program – from the time a client wakes in the morning until they go to sleep at night – is deliberately structured to foster an environment for transformation.

We provide our clients the skills to build a life in recovery while simultaneously working to therapeutically address thoughts and behaviors that will perpetuate the cycle of addiction.

Acudetox

Acudetox (auricular detoxification) is an evidence-based treatment that involves the application of acupuncture (needles) or acupressure (seeds) to specific points on the ear to help detoxify the body and calm the nervous system.

Group Psychotherapy & Individual Sessions

Group psychotherapy is a small group of clients, led by a trained clinician, who come together to share their struggles, emotions, and experiences. Individual sessions allow clients to work with their primary clinician to explore core issues and create client-led goals and objectives to address destructive patterns of thoughts and behaviors.

Amino Acid Therapy

Amino Acid Therapy uses specific amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins, to help regulate brain chemistry and alleviate cravings and other discomfort associated with addiction and early recovery.

12-Step Programs

Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings follow a 12-step program that helps individuals develop coping mechanisms and strategies for managing their addiction in a healthy way.

Nutrition Education

Our nutrition education teaches our clients the importance of a well-balanced diet and the impact of certain foods on their physical and mental health.  We aim to address the specific dietary needs of those struggling with addiction, such as vitamin deficiencies or food sensitivities that may contribute to cravings and relapse.

Spirituality

Cultivating personal spirituality in recovery embraces connecting with something greater than oneself often through meaning and purpose.  We offer opportunities through nature, art, yoga, reiki, and meditation to support mind, body, and soul healing as a foundation for sustained recovery.
