Break from Triggers and Temptations

Who Should Choose Residential Rehab?

Our residential rehabilitation treatment programs are designed for people with severe addiction, co-occurring disorders, or individuals who struggle with relapses. As the starting point for our continuum of care, the residential level of care provides the client with the opportunity to begin learning how to live comfortably without mind altering substances.

While acknowledging the valuable roles that emotional and spiritual development play in recovery we also focuses on the need to repair and rebalance deficits in brain chemistry related to the clients’ addictions.

We utilize amino acids and nutritional therapies to support early recovery and rebalance brain chemistry. By using an abstinence model, combined with targeted nutrients, our clients are able to feel better faster.

Targeted Interventions

The Benefits of Residential Addiction Treatment

If you’re looking for the most comprehensive form of care, residential treatment might be the right option. By staying within the safety and securing of our residential program, our medical staff and healthcare professionals can provide around the clock care, supervision and compassionate support. Residential treatment creates safe spaces for recovery, growth and healing. We do so by providing:
24-hour Support: Around the clock monitoring and support can be truly advantageous in the early days of recovery, particularly when one is still experiencing withdrawal symptoms. The safety and security of having staff available assists clients in tracking progress, identifying areas of struggle and helps prevent relapse behaviors.
Distance and Separation: Participation in our residential program creates space from the client’s life in active addiction, removing distractions and providing distance from unhealthy people and places or situations that may trigger substance use.  Distance from the client’s previous life allows for discernment and perspective and fosters the internal commitment to sustained recovery.

Focused Attention From Staff and Clinicians: The intensity of our residential substance abuse treatment program treatment allows for quick rapport and engagement with therapists and staff.  Through building trust and safety with BTG’s providers, clients rapidly gain insight into who they are and who they aspire to be.
Structure and Routine: Our residential program provides clients with a daily structure that provides a reset for healthy habits like sleep, nutrition, exercise and self-care.  Everything we do at the residential level is designed to allow our clients to feel the benefits of resuming a healthy schedule, enhancing commitment to carry forward the healthy routine when they’re ready to transition to a lower level of care.
Having a safe and structured place with expert and compassionate staff when you’re struggling can make all the difference in your road to recovery.

Evidence-Based Therapies

Our Residential Rehab Modalities

Neuro-Nutritional Therapy

Individualized supplementation of amino acids, vitamins, and minerals supports healing and rebalancing of neurochemicals to support recovery from addiction.

Integrated Medical Care

On-site medical providers work with residential clients weekly to ensure an integrated approach for health and wellbeing.

Healthy & Nutrient-Dense Diet

Clients work together to prepare nutritious meals that have limited sugar, caffeine, and processed foods.

Acu-Detox Services

An acupuncture modality that helps individuals in recovery to detox and support emotional healing.

Polyvagal Theory

Polyvagal Theory explains how the autonomic nervous system shapes emotional regulation, social connection, and stress responses. It identifies three states: the safe "ventral vagal," the fight-or-flight "sympathetic," and the shutdown "dorsal vagal." Trauma often prioritizes survival over connection, but understanding these states can help address trauma, improve self-regulation, and build resilience.

Physical Fitness and Yoga

Yoga and exercise have been shown to be beneficial in addiction recovery. These activities not only promote physical health but also mental and emotional well-being. They help reduce stress, improve mood, and support the development of healthy routines essential for maintaining long-term recovery.

Psycho-Educational Sessions

Clients learn the fundamentals of the physiological, psychological, social, family, and spiritual aspects of the disease of addiction and life in recovery.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

An evidence-based approach that helps individuals change behavior and thoughts associated with the use of drugs or alcohol.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Therapy that focuses on helping clients modify their emotions, behaviors, and thoughts in order to better manage difficult circumstances or mental health issues.

Individual & Group Counseling

Facilitated by our credentialed staff, clients meet weekly with their primary counselor and have the opportunity to process their concerns and work on their mental health in daily group therapy sessions with their community of peers.

Family Psychoeducation & Conjoint Sessions

The disease of addiction impacts the entire family so we provide additional support to help the family members heal alongside the client.

Recognizing the Need for Change

When to Begin Residential Rehab

Different people require different levels of care.  Our primary aim is to help to match you with care that will put you or your loved one on the road to long-term recovery.

We begin with a pre-admissions evaluation that typically includes questions about:

● Substance use, mental health, and medical history Personal background, family structure and/or issues● Legal history● Physicians and/or therapists● Insurance information

Based on this information

Our admissions coordinator and clinical team help to determine the most appropriate program. Once we have found an arrangement to meet your needs, we help you prepare for your stay with us. We navigate the process to find solutions and eliminate barriers, providing regular communications every step of the way to make things easy.

Comfortable, Home-Like Accommodations

Our residences, including Drayton, Sharrett, and Hamilton Houses, offer a relaxed and well-appointed environment for clients to focus on their physical and mental well-being while enjoying the comforts of home. With spacious living areas, fully-equipped kitchens, and cozy bedrooms, clients can prepare meals, work on therapeutic assignments, and bond with peers in a supportive setting.

FAQs

Find answers to commonly asked questions about addiction and recovery.

  • Does residential treatment work equally for all addiction types?

Our overarching philosophy and approach to residential treatment applies to all addictions. We focus on evidence-based treatment modalities with strong emphasis on building community and getting to the roots of addiction. Though the core program works equally for all addiction types, we individualize each client’s journey. One of the big differences in treating the various types of addiction is how we customize our amino acid therapy program. Depending on the drug of choice, clients will present with deficiencies in different neurochemicals. We address those deficiencies according to the client’s symptoms.

  • How do residential and outpatient rehab programs compare?

Most of our clients admit to treatment at the residential level of care. This level of care is the most intensive that we offer and provides a safe space for clients to stabilize physically, mentally, and emotionally. The added support of 24/7 care creates a safe environment for clients to get clean with limited access to opportunities for relapse. Our outpatient programs provide a taper in the intensity of care that is required. As a client is ready, they step down through PHP, IOP, and OP which each provide for greater autonomy and opportunities to practice the skills learned in treatment. This tapered approach to treatment provides the greatest opportunity for long-term recovery.

  • How long is residential rehab?

All of our treatment is individualized based on the client’s specific needs. We do not have a predetermined length of stay as each client will require something slightly different. Our program is built to provide a long-term continuum of care. On average, clients can expect to be in residential treatment for the first 3 – 4 weeks of their treatment and then transition into our second phase of treatment which utilizes the outpatient levels of care combined with supported sober living options.
