Our Addiction Treatment FAQs

  • Deciding whether you need rehab is a deeply personal and often challenging decision. Substance use disorders can manifest differently for everyone, making it difficult to recognize when casual use has turned into dependency or addiction. However, understanding the warning signs can help you determine whether professional treatment is the right step for you or your loved one.

  • This will depend on a variety of factors, including whether or not medical detox is needed, the number of beds we have available, and the availability of clinicians. Our team works diligently to get potential clients into treatment as soon as possible without compromising the integrity of the level of care that we pledge to provide. Typically, we are able to get prospective clients into treatment that do not need medical detox within a week of our first phone call, but timelines are unique to the individual case.

  • Addiction rehab is a structured and supportive process designed to help individuals overcome substance use disorders and rebuild their lives. It goes beyond simply quitting substances, focusing on healing the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of addiction.
Addiction rehab serves to address not only the substance use itself but also the underlying factors contributing to it. These may include trauma, mental health conditions, environmental influences, or unresolved personal issues.

  • If medical detox is needed, we cannot provide that on-site. We will refer you to a medical detox facility that is convenient for you. Upon completion of medical detox, you may come to BTG for residential and continuing care.

  • If you are on Medicaid or cannot afford treatment, we will give you a referral to another facility that can meet your needs. For clients that are established at BTG and have payment or insurance disruption issues, we offer a financial hardship scholarship that helps them to continue without interrupting treatment.

  • Every individual has unique needs. That is why we begin with outlining an individualized treatment plan to find what would best suit your recovery process. We do not perform a “day count” rather look at the best option for you.

  • We have compiled a packing list for you including items to bring to treatment and those you should leave at home.

  • Yes, the services we provide are confidential. We uphold high ethical standards to ensure quality and confidentiality.

  • It is not therapeutically advised for clients to have their own room. With the disease of addiction being a disease that isolates, we like to room clients with a roommate as much as possible.

  • There is no cell-phone use or computer use in our first phase of treatment. We do have a phone at the house in which you can make a 15 minute call to family daily. In our second phase, you are allowed to have your cell phone and computer after the clinical day.

  • Certainly. We have availability to work with your dietary needs, and provide you with options as needed. We have nutritional staff on board that can help work with your needs.

  • Our outpatient program typically lasts one year, though the exact duration depends on each client’s progress and needs. During this time, clients are asked to sign a Continuing Care Contract that outlines the expectations for participation and commitment to recovery.

  • Yes. There are designated areas outside for smoking cigarettes. We prohibit the use of chewing tobacco, electronic cigarettes, vapes, and Juuls.

  • We are a relatively small treatment facility, licensed to treat 24 clients at a time. Our size enables us to give our clients the personal attention and individualized treatment that they deserve. At capacity, each counselor has a max caseload of about 6-8 clients. We strive to have 4 clients per counselor.

  • Yes and no – BTG believes in the use of medications for specific and individualized purposes. BTG believes that the physical, emotional and spiritual freedoms that come with sustained recovery require holistic healing that is optimized through the abstinence of all mind altering substances. We, therefore, do not utilize medications like suboxone or methadone as maintenance medications. While these substances can play a role in harm reduction methods, it is difficult to create and maintain a quality, comfortable, long-term recovery while still taking these addictive substances that come with a host of side effects. Instead, we use a combination of amino acid therapy, AcuDetox, psychotherapy, community building, and spiritual healing to address the whole person – mind, body, and soul – and create a healthy, natural recovery free of mood-altering substances.
Using an individualized medical and clinical approach, we will utilize suboxone to support comfortable withdrawal on a short term basis. We also offer Naltrexone to assist in managing cravings as additional support to be combined with our comprehensive, multi-modality array of treatment modalities.

  • When a loved one enters rehab for addiction treatment, it’s a major step in their recovery journey, and your support can make a profound difference. Addiction is a complex and often isolating disease, and the recovery process can be challenging. As someone who cares deeply for them, you may feel a range of emotions: relief, anxiety, confusion, or even guilt. Understanding how to support your loved one during rehab will help them feel safe, encouraged, and empowered to overcome obstacles on their path to recovery.

Transformation

A Bridge to Transformation

Abstinence from substances and addressing neurochemical deficiencies is a cornerstone of our philosophy, but that alone is not enough to build a meaningful life in recovery. The design of our program – from the time a client wakes in the morning until they go to sleep at night – is deliberately structured to provide the environment for transformation to occur.
We teach our clients the skills to build a life in recovery while simultaneously working with them to therapeutically address the pain points that will keep them caught in the cycle of addiction.
