Leaving a Google Review: What to Know

Why Your Review Matters

Sharing your experience can make a real difference for someone else who is struggling and searching for help. For individuals considering addiction treatment, honest reviews provide insight, reassurance, and a sense of what to expect. Your words can offer hope, build trust, and guide others toward making a life-changing decision. Whether your journey is just beginning or you’re reflecting on how far you've come, leaving a review is a meaningful way to support others who are ready to take that first step toward recovery.

Key Points to Keep in Mind

Before posting a review on Google, here are a few key points to keep in mind:
● A Google account is required in order to leave a review.
● Your reviews are public and will display your Google profile name and photo. There’s no way to leave a completely anonymous review, but you can choose to display only your first name by editing your profile.
● Once posted, your review may show up across various Google platforms, including Google Maps and Google Search.

Want to Keep It Private? Here's a Tip:
If you'd like to limit what others see, you can simplify your profile name to just your first name. Here's how to update it:
1. Log into your Google Account.2. Already signed in? Click here and go to the “Name & Pronunciation” section.3. On the left menu, select "Personal info."4. Under the "Basic info" section, click on "Name."5. Click the pencil/edit icon next to your name.6. Adjust your name as you prefer—such as removing your last name.7. Click Save to apply the changes.
This won’t make your review completely anonymous, but it can help keep your personal information more private.
