Bridging the Gaps is committed to helping all people who suffer from substance use disorders find the treatment services that they deserve. Our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) program (commonly referred to as day treatment) reflects our commitment to a full continuum of care and offers a rigorous option for individuals whose needs and circumstances make them candidates for a non-residential program.
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a structured, intensive outpatient treatment option that enables individuals to participate in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic activities while living in their own homes or at one of Bridging the Gaps’ supported sober living residences. PHP provides the same level of care and intensity as a residential stay without requiring an overnight stay at our facility. Patients attend programming from 8:45 am to 5:00 pm, five days a week. Services are provided in both individual and group settings, depending on the needs of the patient.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or Day Treatment, reflects our commitment to a full continuum of care. It offers a rigorous option for individuals whose needs and circumstances make them candidates for a non-residential program. A partial hospitalization rehab program provides a high level of care during the day and allows clients to go home in the evening.
We combine intensive, structured sessions and individualized attention with live-at-home flexibility. Day treatment effectively addresses critical issues and barriers to recovery at a lower cost than residential treatment.
A partial hospitalization program for substance abuse could provide a number of benefits to participants, including:
At Bridging the Gaps, we understand that recovery is an ongoing process. We recognize that our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Virginia is only one step along the path to a healthier, more productive life. That’s why we put emphasis on aftercare planning and support for continued success.
We start by working with each individual to develop a personalized aftercare plan. This includes finding support groups and resources in the community, continuing addiction treatment through our outpatient program, or transitioning into our long-term residential program – whatever works best for your situation. We are dedicated to providing the follow-up care you need to stay on track.
As part of BTG’s integrative approach to supporting physiological healing, individuals may choose to receive neurofeedback for an additional fee.
All day treatment clients are provided with individualized treatment designed to meet their personal needs. With an eye toward a client’s previous treatment experiences and exposure to key recovery concepts, all efforts are made to provide a curriculum that is new and challenging for the client.
Upon meeting identified day treatment goals, a client has the opportunity to transition to a less intensive level of continuing care, including our Intensive Outpatient and/or our Continuing Care program.
The duration of our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Virginia depends on the client’s individual situation and specific needs. Generally, a PHP lasts for 4 to 8 weeks, with 8 hours of treatment per day, 5 days a week. However, this may vary as needed depending on each patient’s progress and response to treatment.
