Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs in Virginia

Bridging The Gaps is a CARF accredited treatment center located in Winchester, Virginia that concentrates on helping adults recover from drug and alcohol addiction. Unlike other addiction rehab facilities, our treatment philosophy “bridges the gap” between addiction and recovery by combining integrative modalities that treat the root of the addiction therefore providing a solid foundation for recovery.

We offer a full spectrum of treatment to adults in Virginia or out of state, as we are located within hours of West Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. With only 24 beds and a small town atmosphere, we offer private and personal treatment with close access to a large and diverse  12 step community.

Each program typically lasts between 45 and 120 days, but can vary with each individual depending on how they progress through their treatment plan.

You can learn more about each of our programs below but we know that it can feel overwhelming to understand what level of care you or your loved one requires. Our admissions director is here to guide you through every part of the process. We would love to answer your questions. At BTG, our admissions director is available to take your call 24/7.  Whether you are calling for yourself, for a loved one, or just to ask a question, please do not hesitate to call us, as we look forward to hearing from you.

Residential

Our residential program promotes consistent client growth in up to three core phases, as well as a transitional phase to facilitate adjustment back into the demands of daily life. The structure provided within residential treatment is very beneficial to clients and provides much needed stability. The residential environment also offers 24/7 supervision and support, ensuring that all of the client’s individual needs are met.

Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff encourages and motivates our residents on a daily basis. Most of our residents develop a strong bond of trust with our staff and feel more at ease knowing they have constant individualized support.

Outpatient

We also provide rigorous, yet cost-effective, outpatient programs for individuals whose clinical needs and life circumstances may warrant a more flexible, non-residential structure. Our outpatient programs allow for individuals to receive proven effective treatment modalities in their own community with minimal disruption to everyday life.

In our outpatient programs, clients continue to live at home while engaging in treatment at a fraction of the cost of residential treatment programs. BTG’s offers three different evidenced- based treatment programs designed to meet your unique needs. These include Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, and Continuing Care.

Residential Treatment

Live-In Treatment

Community Living

A benefit of the BTG residential environment is that clients are able to learn to live as part of a sober community. Addiction is often a disease of isolation, so having community support is essential to the healing process. Within the residential setting, there is always someone there to help you – either staff or sober peers.

Freedom from Daily Stressors

The BTG residential setting also offers opportunities to develop and practice living and coping skills within a safe and supportive environment. Many people find the break from every day stressors a major bonus of engaging in residential treatment. Freed from the obligations of work, school, and other stressors, an individual in residential treatment can focus completely on healing their mind, body, and spirit.

Support in Transition to Independent Living

When the client is assessed as ready, Bridging the Gaps provides support in transitioning slowly to more independent living to ease any difficulties the client may encounter. Each client is guided on an individualized taper from the structure of the residential treatment setting to promote maintained abstinence and relapse prevention.

Convenience and Support

Ensuring that clients are safe and happy is our first priority, and our experienced, compassionate residential staff is on duty 24 hours a day in our early recovery houses to provide specialized care and support, as well as attend to personal and transportation needs.  A member of our clinical team and our lead physician are also on-call around-the-clock to attend to any issues or emergencies that may arise.

  • Weekly individual counseling sessions
